SPPN In Brief
The Society of Printing Practitioners of Nigeria (SPPN) is a registered
professional organisation promoting excellence, professionalism, and
unity in Nigeria's printing and publishing industry. Founding members
were originally certif ied practitioners from the Institute of Printing of
Nigeria (IoP,N) which co-established Chartered Institute of Professional
Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), under Act C1 No. 24 of 2007.
SPPN's e-learning and bespoke training have attracted new members,
-from students, artisans, professionals, and corporate organizations, -
boosting printing technology, skills, and management capacity in the
industry.
SPPN aims to ensure that industry practices in Nigeria achieves global standards, driving sustainable growth in Printing, Publishing, Paper, and allied industries.
SPPN aims to achieve her vision by:
Seeking to ensure that government’s policies align with strategies to
secure this visionPartnering with CIPPON, MAN, Lagos Chamber of Commerce,
Governments, and other bodies to drive industry growth, global
understanding, and best practices.Fostering networking and socialisation among practitioners, and
players for harmony
SPPN's mandate includes, but not limited to the following:
Standardizing printing practices
Researching innovation
Providing training for professionals.
We represent practitioners' interests
Promote ethics, and unify the industry.
Goals include enhancing members' capabilities
- Promoting keeping to ethos and ethics to attain high standards
- We providing scholarships - where fund is available.
- We collaborate with CIPPON, industry and allied groups.
SPPN is represented on CIPPON's Council and encourages members to
register with CIPPON, fostering collaboration on profession regulation,
manpower development, and remuneration with CIPPON, MPA, and allied
groups.
SPPN builds skills through f lexible training online and in-plant for:
Apprentices, artisans, graduates, - Beginners and Brown Collar
minders.Supervisors, and managers, - Industry’s players in blue & white
collars.Collaborating and supporting Institutions in training and
certif ication.Boosting industry capacity, running awareness for investors and
stakeholders.

Secretariat
The SPPN secretariat is located at Yaba College of Technology - Printing
Department, implementing policies and coordinating activities. The National General Secretary handles correspondences and day-to-day management. The Society’s National Practitioners' Centers are in every
zone and state of Nigerian Federation.
